Pet hair wraps around brushes and fills bins fast. We’ve lined up twelve current US robot vacuum and mop combos whose makers name an anti-tangle brush, and compared them on the specs those makers publish: the brush, how long a hair it’s rated for, suction, and how many days of dust the dock holds.

What makes a robot vacuum good for pet hair
A brush that doesn’t wrap hair
Bristle brushes collect hair like a spool. Every model here has a brush its maker designs against tangles. Some publish how long a hair the brush is rated for: dreame X60 Max Ultra Complete up to 15.75 in, and Dreame X50 Ultra, L50 Ultra and eufy C28 up to 11.8 in. Those ratings come from the makers’ own tests, so still check the brush every few weeks.
Room in the dock for weeks of fur
Shedding fills a robot’s small onboard bin quickly, so a self-emptying dock does most of the work. The Dreame D20 Plus publishes the longest stretch here, up to 150 days; most of the others say up to 75 to 100 days or about 3 months.
Mops that stay off rugs
Pet beds and rugs are where hair builds up, and a wet mop pad on a rug makes a mess. Look at how far the mops lift on carpet, or whether the robot can leave them at the dock. The dreame L60 Ultra, X50 Ultra, L50 Ultra and Matrix10 Ultra can do both.
Bowls, litter boxes and accidents
Dreame says the X50 Ultra recognizes pet waste among up to 200 object types, and that the X60 Max Ultra Complete detects food bowls and litter boxes. For other models, check the listing for pet mess before you rely on it.

Do anti-tangle brushes stop hair wrapping completely?
Makers say their brushes prevent or cut tangles, based on their own tests. Long or fine hair can still build up at the brush ends, so check and clear it every few weeks.
Which robot vacuum handles the longest hair?
Of the models here that publish a rating, Dreame rates the X60 Max Ultra Complete’s brush for hair up to 15.75 in. The X50 Ultra, L50 Ultra and eufy C28 are rated for up to 11.8 in.
Is a robot vacuum and mop good for dog hair?
Yes, if the brush resists tangles and the dock empties the bin for you. If your dog brings in mud, a roller mop such as the ECOVACS DEEBOT T90 PRO Omni, eufy C28 or Dreame Aqua10 Roller cleans itself as it works.
Will a robot vacuum avoid pet accidents?
Some say so. Dreame says the X50 Ultra recognizes pet waste. Don’t assume it of any model whose maker doesn’t say so, and pick up accidents before a scheduled run.
