A window cleaning robot holds itself to the glass with suction, then sprays, wipes and finds its own way across the pane. No ladder, no streaky towel. We’ve lined up six current US models on the specs their makers publish, so you can match one to your windows.

The six robots
ECOVACS WINBOT W3 Omni
The W3 Omni comes with a station that washes its pads in about a minute using 16 high-pressure nozzles. On the glass it uses three wide-angle spray nozzles, a TruEdge scrubber that lowers along edges and into corners, and WIN-SLAM 5.0 navigation with Fast, Intensive and Zone modes.
Suits: homes with lots of glass, where washing pads by hand gets old fast.
Worth knowing: the listing doesn’t state a suction figure or how long it holds on if the power cuts out.
ECOVACS WINBOT W2S PRO
The W2S PRO lists 10,000Pa of suction, the highest published figure here, with three fine-mist spray nozzles and TruEdge 2.0 with four edge brushes. It plans routes with WIN-SLAM 4.0 and gives you six modes: Fast, Thorough, Edge, Heavy-Duty, Deep and Zone. The listing describes 10-stage protection, including six hardware fall-protection measures.
Suits: people who want the most published suction and plenty of cleaning modes.
Worth knowing: it has no pad-washing station, so you’ll be rinsing pads yourself.
ECOVACS WINBOT MINI 2
The MINI 2 measures 8.46 x 8.46 x 2.17 in, so it suits narrow panes where bigger robots won’t fit. It lists 8,000Pa suction, an ultrasonic mist, a pad that reaches within 1mm of the edge, and over 30 minutes of grip if the power cuts out. The listing says it works on framed and frameless windows, mirrors and glass.
Suits: smaller windows and mirrors.
Worth knowing: the listing gives edge coverage of up to 90%, so expect to wipe the last corners yourself.
HUTT 10 Premium
The HUTT uses two pads: a round spinning pad for wet cleaning and a square pad for dry wiping. It lists up to 6,500Pa suction, 55N of constant pressure, an 80ml tank good for up to 646 sq ft per refill, a 30-minute backup battery and a 220kg safety rope.
Suits: people who want a wet pass and a dry pass in one go.
Worth knowing: the listing says it works on glass from 30 x 30cm, so very small panes are out.
HOBOT-SP10 iScraper
The SP10 sprays, wipes and then clears the leftover water with dual scrapers. It’s listed for glass reclined from 7° to 100°, so it covers skylights, greenhouse roofs and solar panels as well as windows. Suction is 6,000Pa, with 20 minutes of backup power and a 230kgf safety rope.
Suits: sloped glass, sunrooms and solar panels.
Worth knowing: its 6,000Pa is the lowest published suction in this guide.
HOBOT-2S
The 2S uses ultrasonic spray, a 9.5 x 9.5 in cleaning cloth and 7kg of grip, moving in zigzag routes. It’s listed as suitable for frameless windows and has an edge-leakage sensor. You can drive it from the app or a remote, and it gives voice prompts.
Suits: frameless glass.
Worth knowing: the listing doesn’t state a suction figure or a power-cut backup time.
How to choose
- Window size. Small panes and mirrors suit a compact robot like the WINBOT MINI 2.
- Frameless glass. Check the listing says frameless. The MINI 2, SP10 and 2S do.
- Sloped glass. The HOBOT-SP10 is the only one here listed for reclined surfaces.
- Safety. Look for backup power, and use the rope on upper floors.
- Less handling. The W3 Omni washes its own pads.
Questions
Do window robots clean both sides of the glass?
They clean one side at a time. For the outside, you attach the robot outside and secure it with its safety rope.
What happens if the power goes out?
Several listings state a backup battery: over 30 minutes for the WINBOT MINI 2, up to 30 minutes for the HUTT and 20 minutes for the HOBOT-SP10.
Can they clean mirrors?
The WINBOT MINI 2 listing mentions mirrors. For the others, check the listing before using one on a mirror.
